Join Valley Players at Black Birch Vineyard to celebrate some of the tremendous playwriting talent in the Valley and help us raise funds for The Literacy Project! Take Ten is an evening of staged readings of six new 10-minute plays by Valley playwrights. Enjoy the show, a glass of wine, and some fine food from The Vintner's Slice. Sodas from Harmony Springs, non-alcoholic beers, and mocktails also available. Tickets are on a pay-what-you-can scale starting at $15, and half of net ticket sales will be donated to The Literacy Project.
Selected by a panel of local community theater leaders from over 30 submissions, the plays in the showcase are A Concern, by Anna Fox of Amherst, directed by Tracy Grammer; Letting the Cat Out, by Richard Ballon of Florence, directed by Alan Harris; Summer People, by Stephen Poulin of Amherst, directed by Anna Morrissey; This is Not a Play by JSWalter of Shutesbury, directed by Marty Bongfeldt; Terms and Conditions, by Sarah Zureick-Brown of Amherst, directed by Joe Van Allen; and The Waiting Room, by E. A. Blair of Holyoke, directed by Jill Franks.
