Vintner's Dinner

Join us for a lovely night of Black Birch wines paired with an exquisite meal at our fifth annual Vintner’s Dinner. Come with friends, meet new friends and share your wine experiences over a delicious meal. Gather around our table as Michelle gives an update on happenings at the vineyard and plans for the upcoming year, while Ian gives reflections on farming in Hatfield the last year and his weather, crop, and wine predictions for 2024.  

We have been working with Gretchen from the Porch Too of Brattleboro, VT and have put together a decadent 4-course meal with some of our favorite wines, including some not yet released ones! We’ll greet you at 6:30 with a glass of sparkling Brilliant, and an abundant spread of local cheeses, and cured meats, along with accoutrements.  Dinner is served at 7:00.  

Menu for the evening

First Course: Paired with our 2022 Heritage Traminette

  • Wasabi Deviled Eggs with furikake and gochujang with crispy rice and kimchi (GF)

Soup Course: Paired with our 2023 Viognier

  • Carrot Milkweed Ginger Soup with Harissa Pumpkin Seeds (Vegan, GF)

Entree: Paired with our 2022 Saperavi

  • Brown butter gnocchi & squash with crispy Slipstream Farm mushrooms, sweet pea puree with parmesan, basil oil & local micro greens with pistachio, chili, and shallot crumble (Vegetarian)                  *This option can be altered to also be vegan and gluten-free

OR

  • Braised pork with cipollini onions and plums over crispy parmesan polenta and asparagus with a fennel salad garnish (GF)

Dessert course: Paired with our Ruby Port-style dessert wine

  • Gourmet cookie plates featuring an assortment such as strawberry shortbread cookies, persimmon fruit jellies (GF), chocolate truffle sea salt, lime margarita rolled date, chocolate coconut almond bites (GF, Vegan)

Coffee and Tea Bar available to conclude the evening.
